Entry for October 9, 2007
Well I took a half day off of work yesterday and got the car back together. I put in new coils and new primary injectors. Pressure tested the fuel rails,  tested injector connections and double checked plug wire locations before buttoning it back up. Started it back up and it idled a little rough. Pulled it out and drove around the block and it had an even worse stumble than before on any acceleration. As soon as I gave it any throttle it was missing badly and wanting to die. If I left the throttle alone it would idle OK. I didn't leave it warm up enough to see if it would improve. I am kind of at a loss as to what the problem is. I need to check the fuel pressure regulator, although fuel pressure measures fine. I have a feeling it is a vacuum leak somewhere. Another thing it could be is a bad MAP sensor I suppose. It would fit the symptoms. Well I guess I get to keep chasing this down. I hope I get to the bottom of it soon.
